Jardin lontan is a project that has been evolving since 2017, with an initial series of works on canvas.

Commissions for murals, carried out since December 2023, give it an immersive dimension.

 

The garden is part of Réunion's heritage. It encompasses the intimate, the familiar, the useful, and the hidden. It is the result of traditions, of transmission, of what transcends time and space with the generations.

The garden embodies the relationship between nature and culture in this territory, which is biologically marked by human migrations.

Transforming the contemporary urban environment by reintroducing the world of the traditional garden allows us to recall the poetry of certain transformations linked to human activity and to value the tradition of subsistence agroforestry.
